About SIA CCTV Operator Course: 

This course is ideal for anyone wishing to get a CCTV Operator Licence to work legally as a CCTV Operator. Completing the CCTV Operator course unlocks prospects to work in CCTV control rooms across diverse sectors such as businesses, shopping centres, airports, and local councils. In full-time positions you can earn up to £2,700 per month.

 

This comprehensive 3-day course covers all necessary topics to prepare you for the CCTV exam and equip you with the skills to work proficiently as a qualified CCTV Operator. The SIA CCTV course aims to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of your responsibilities within the security industry when observing images or footage. It encompasses various topics, ranging from the legal considerations of CCTV monitoring to hands-on training with equipment and its operation. The course includes instruction on the following units:

Unit 1: Working in the Private Security Industry

Unit 2: Working as a CCTV Operator 

Unit 3: Practical Use of CCTV Systems

Eligibility: 18 + years & English to a Level 1 standard.

Assessment: 4 multiple choice question examinations

Exam Resits: 3 FREE Exam Resits for all students

Applying For a SIA Licence: Having a criminal record doesn't always stop you from getting an SIA (Security Industry Authority) license. They look at each case individually, considering the type and seriousness of the offense, how long ago it happened, and whether you've shown any evidence of rehabilitation. You can use the SIA Criminal Record Indicator to see whether you will pass the criminality checks.

SIA Licence valid for: 3 years

How much you can earn? £10 – £15+ per hour

Refunds: We provide a full refund if you cancel the course within 24 Hours of Booking the course.

Additional Costs:

SIA Licence Fee: £184 however if you already hold a licence the cost for your second licence is half price (£92).

Entry Requirments

Entry Requirements:

Learners must be aged at least 18 or over.

Learners must be able to communicate in English (oral and written) to a Level 1 standard.

Learners must provide 1 x suitable photographic ID & 2 x Proof of address prior to the exam.

Modules Covered

The assessment format for each unit is broken down below:

Unit 1 - Working in The Private Security Industry:

  • A multiple choice question exam with 40 questions. For each question, you will have to chose the correct answer from 4 options provided to you.

Unit 2 - Working as a CCTV operator:

  • A multiple choice question exam with 40 questions. For each question, you will have to chose the correct answer from 4 options provided to you.

Unit 3 - Practical Operation of CCTV Equipment:

  • This unit is assessed by the trainer on the course based on observations. You will be required to demonstrate use of a basic CCTV kit.

All of the assessments will be conducted within the course duration.

We understand that exams can be daunting or nervous for many candidates. Many candidates on the course have not sat an examination in a long time. The trainer on the course will equip you with all the knowledge needed to pass.
